Hello Yumi. It's great to see a new W.I.T.C.H. picture from you, and you look so lovely! The hairstyle is really cute and suits your face perfectly. Also I think you have a great figure for this cosplay. I enjoyed that long chat we had before, so I'm really glad to see you all winged 'n witchy again. What was the event like, and did lots of people know the character? Also, will you have more pictures later? Or maybe there are more on the web somewhere?
Hi and thank you for the compliments. The event was okay for the parts I got to experience it. I was mainly working backstage because I was one of the judges for the cosplay contest. Many people recognized the character, which is really no wonder. W.I.T.C.H. is a really nostalgic series for many and people talked to me a lot, which was nice. I'm not sure about having more pictures. I use Tumblr (my cosplay tag: yumikoyuki.tumblr.com/search/y… ) and my personal cosplay blog (my tag for Will: jumittaa.blogspot.fi/search/la… ) to submit cosplay photos more than DA. I usually update my DA whenever I remember to. It's nice that on Tumblr there's the opportunity to submit many photos as a photo set and on DA I don't really like spamming too many photos at the same time, so I might forget putting the rest here later. Of course, though, I always get myself new pictures whenever I wear my costumes again, so if I'll be wearing Will again someday, there are surely going to be more photos.
Thanks for the long response - I really appreciate you taking the time. I clicked your links and found lots of new pics, including for your earlier Will appearance (on which I'd commented here), so my hard drive now has more witchy goodness on it than ever. And hey, please ignore Susan Vandom when she asks you to put some decent clothes on. You look fine, even if you did have to glue your skirt on! I'm wondering, are you in any movies for this cosplay event?
As far as spamming pics goes, I agree it's not so good to post lots at once. I think it's much better to spread them out so they get individual attention, making each one an event for followers to enjoy commenting on. Anyway, I've added you to my watch list now, so if you get witchy here again, I'll know about it promptly!
Oh and I also spam my Facebook fan page quite a lot with my cosplays and that is the place to show WIP pictures more than anywhere else. So if you want to like the page, here you go. www.facebook.com/yumikoyukicos…
Well, Will is only 14 years old, no matter the change in bodyshape, so Susan being all motherly concerned is only in-character, I think. Will is still her little girl. :'> And no, I wasn't filmed at Yukicon, not at least with my Will costume. I was interviewed on Saturday when I was wearing my Catherine costume, but it was streamed and it's not available to see anymore. It is possible that I might have ended up on someones con movie, though in that case I wouldn't have any clue of it. With Will I've only been filmed for a couple of times at Animecon last summer and those films are on my blog.
Did Will's mum ever find out about Will in the comics then? Were those playful blog pictures a reference to something there?
As for movies, I searched on YouTube for Yukicon 2014 and found you in a slideshow as both Catherine (2:28) and Will (3:13), but that's all. Also, I've now watched the Animecon movies listed in your blog. You were rather quiet, but I like where you've stolen someone's camera. Cute!
Nope, never finds out. We were just derping around and playing with the idea.
Thanks for the link. Sure there are people who take pictures and make slideshows but as for movies there were none where I'd be featured.
In the Animecon films I was asked to be filmed shortly and just did as they asked me to do. The Sora cosplayer from Kingdom Hearts was the one who directed and shooted the film (at least the part where I was in) and wished for something like that. So I wasn't representing myself, I only delivered a moving photo of my costume. Sure I felt myself shy, too. After all I didn't know the people and I don't get asked to do something like that too often. But I am rather bubbly when I'm with people I know, just like anybody else. Anyway, thanks!
I'm only on dA but your Facebook page is interesting - and usefully in English! One thing I learnt is that you re-edited all your cosplay pics. Also I noticed your January 21st post about how it makes you happy that you're now cosplaying the Will you used to wish you could be. Oh, and the July 11th 'sneak peek' of part of your Will costume caught my eye somewhat. Ooh la-la!
As for your appearances in those Animecon movies, I hear what you're saying. And certainly, you don't come across as being shy on your Facebook page.
I think Facebook is really useful and probably my favorite format to use for my cosplay stuff because of the straightforwardness. I can make short or long posts and there is an easy way to handle galleries. Anyway, thanks for the latter "ooh la-la". :'>
Yeah, I'm not surprised there. It's a lot easier to be "socially skilled" on the internet when people can't see you but only the text and photos. I don't really know if I should be calling myself shy, actually. I don't think it's that, because I know how to carry myself. It's more like I don't know how to chit-chat with people and I feel uncomfortable with people I don't know too well yet. I don't think that's shy. I just like being with myself and with a few people I love. I don't really have the skills of a social butterfly, haha. But it's good hearing I don't seem too shy on the webs, I guess.
Ainii mäkin olin perustanut ryhmän, olin siinä Will, ylläri. : DD En kyllä muista mitä me siinä kerhossa edes tehtiin, ehkä oari kertaa hengattiin ja katottiin jotain leffoja. : D
