Odin Sphere - The Ringford Night by YumiKoyuki Odin Sphere - The Ringford Night by YumiKoyuki
Desucon Frostbite, 14.-15.1.2012, Lahti, Finland

I usually don't like editing photos too much, but sometimes it's fun to try things out. ~Kifia already made her version of this same picture and I wanted to try making my own. So yeah, just some photoshop noobing.

Mercedes - YumiKoyuki aka me

The costume is hand made by me.

Wow, really lovely cosplay! The head-piece is amazingly done, I love that you got all the details with the yellow part.
And the wings look perfect from what you can see here, fantastic! Just a question from a fellow cosplayer; would you share how you made the wings? You see, I'm going to do a Mercedes cosplay as well. Almost done, I've only got the wings left actually, but I am having a very hard time with how to make them. I would be very grateful if you could help me with this, and I'll credit your help when I post a photo of my cosplay!

Thank you!
The wings are made of clear plastic which I spray painted with blue and green. The black parts are of soft foam which I glued on both sides of the plastic.
Hope this helps!

Thank you very much :') ! I apreciate it! Any tips on how to connect the wings on the back? I have a slight idea but I have never made wings before, so better be safe than sorry :)

No problem! I don't really know how to explain it, it's a bit tricky. It's really hard to explain in english, it takes really long to explain even in my mother language. :/ I used bras and sewed in some metal supports on the back and put the wings on them. That way it looked like they were attached directly onto my bare back without any kind of straps or other things. I'd have to show you a picture so it'd be understandable, but sadly I don't have any. :C I'm sorry. (I only have a picture of my back when wearing the full outfit, just click it bigger -> [link])

I'm already done with the wings now. Didn't get to do it with the bra thingy but it went pretty well!

A nice retouch. I would have loved to see your full Mercedes costume used in a larger scene :)

Thanks. It's a pity it's winter and really snowy in here. I'll have to wait for summer to get some full body pictures outside. : D
